Let’s Take A Moment To Ponder

With all the rain we have had here lately, it’s been near impossible to get outside and play! Though this has also raised some awareness for me after a kind gesture by a friend today.
We have had so much rain that we are just about land-locked. I made it out this morning to get a few supplies before heading back home for a Zoom meeting with one of my clients.
While out shopping, I ran into a dear friend of mine, who lives just down the road and I mentioned how it was very difficult getting out in my little car (Mark has a 4wd, but I have a small sedan) and I wasn’t sure how I’d go getting back home.
We left the supermarket at the same time, him in front of me, and without hesitation, he led me all the way home, in his big 4wd (with winch kit), to make sure I got home safe.
It’s a small kindness like this, that can have such an incredibly huge impact.
I did get home ok, with a bit of slipping and sliding, however, I didn’t have to stress and felt safe, all thanks to Bill being the considerate and kind person that he is.
Ok, this may sound a little silly to some people, but let me tell you, when you are driving in torrential rain with panic growing that you may not make it home safely, this is huge!!!
The moral of this story is, always, ALWAYS, practice kindness, you don’t realise just how you can change someone’s day by performing that simple act of kindness.
Now, I am about to zoom with a mentoring group, in my nice warm home, with the wood fire burning brightly, with a cup of chamomile tea in hand and feeling quite content.
