Let’s Take a Moment To Ponder

3rd September 2022

Letting go.

Easier said than done, right?

And I’m certainly not going to give you the magic cure.

However, I am going to tell you this:

You can’t reach for anything new, if you are still holding on to yesterday’s rubbish.

Just let that sink in for a moment……..

Now this was a meme, some random Facebook meme, posted by my sister, Emma, and it didn’t just hit home, it rammed it there with a giant sized mallet, wielded by Thor himself!

Never a truer statement has been made.

We desperately need to do a “Spring Clean” of our baggage.
Let go of things that no longer serve us, and no longer bring us joy.

I’m not saying you have to forget all together, hell no. But take the good bits from those memories and piss off the rest of that shit that’s weighing you down.

This is obviously not something that can be done overnight! Far from it.

But with daily affirmations and gratitude, we can refocus, we can take those bad memories and thank them for teaching us a lesson, while waving them goodbye.

There’s another saying that screams at me every time I see it posted or hear it spoken:

The older I get, the more I realise I don’t want to be around drama, conflict or stress.
I want a cosy home, good food and to be surrounded by happy people.

So, so bang on isn’t it??

I have some pretty bloody amazing people in my life, that I would be totally lost without. Some I’ve known my entire life, however, recently, I have met one in particular that stands out from the crowd.

She will know who she is when she reads this.

This particular person (and her husband) have been to hell and back. Gone through such deep sadness that I cannot even begin to fathom. But one conversation with this person, and the world just seems right again. She manages to make everyone else feel like they are worth something, that they are perfect just the way they are, yet inside, I know damn well, that she is a mess, just trying to get through every day without losing her shit altogether.
Her memories are not something to be “Spring Cleaned”, hers are to be cherished, every single tiny little detail, cherished.
I adore hearing her stories and looking at photos and videos. I also love asking questions just trying to learn a little more with each answer.
In saying that, she is also exceptionally grateful for what she had and shows nothing but love.
I couldn’t be more grateful for her friendship if I tried, and no words can describe exactly how I feel about her.
She knows I’m weird and wacky, and completely accepts me just the way I am, as I do her.

Love you to the moon and back, Octopus.

Anyhoo, that’s enough of the soppy stuff!!

Just remember, the dark days do end, or at least they become manageable, and whatever your story, I hope you can learn to say thank you for the lesson and let go, to some extent.

You are wonderful just the way you are.

You are amazing.

You are ENOUGH!

Blessed be all.

Until Next time…….
